Positive: - The staff were superb - especially the waiter in the restaurant (sorry, completely misplaced his name). He made the stay great! - Food was surprisingly lovely in the hotel - both breakfast and dinner - Property itself was really charming, with a historic feel to it and large rooms

Negative: - One major thing was that we had connecting rooms (as we were there with kids), thinking they'd be right next to each other. However, the rooms were at opposite ends of the property (it's a large bungalow), connected by a long corridor, which in and of itself wasn't ideal. What we also didn't realise is that corridor is exposed to the outside, and half way along is where the bathroom is. This means you get all sorts of creepy crawlies appearing along it, and in the bathroom. There's also some sort of birds nesting in the undergrowth next to the exposed part of the corridor, which makes for a hair raising walk to the bathroom at night! It's sort of charming, but also not ideal with young kids who are scared of the (rather large) insects in Sri Lanka :)
