Positive: Coffee maker had filters and ground coffee in room. Nice patio to sit out on in the morning with a cup of coffee and can look out on to Balboa Park from room 4A. Easy access to Balboa Park. Room is spacious enough for 3 people. Not difficult to find free street parking. Nice take away Mexican restaurant right down on Fir street.
Negative: Room is in the flight landing path of San Diego International Airport, so may be irritating if you don't like frequent plane noise. Ceiling is thin (wood construction)and you can hear every step and dropped shoe of the tenants above. Funny that the landlord provided complimentary ear plugs on the bed nightstand. Ottoman at base of bed was heavily stained and my wife asked me to put it outside. No facial tissues provided. Be aware that some homeless drug users gather near the CVS parking lot at all times of the day.
Summary: Room seems a bit pricey for what you get.
