Decked area with garden furniture. 20-acre grounds (shared with other properties on-site). Sauna, steam room, gym, tennis court and children’s play area (shared with other properties on-site). Indoor heated swimming pool (shared with other properties on-site, 20m x 8 m, depth 1.4m, open 8.15am to 8.30pm all year). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Puffin Lodge is situated on ’The Bay’ holiday complex close to the wonderful seaside resort of Filey. The site provides excellent facilities for some family fun with free access to a heated indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and sauna. There are lots of activities arranged throughout the year including mini discos, face painting, archery and lots more (small charge applicable payable on-site). The property is also perfect for couples looking for a break outside the school holidays.
The lodge has everything you would need for an enjoyable stay with a large open plan living room, kitchen and dining area making it a great social spot. The large bi-fold doors lead out to a lovely south facing decked area where you can enjoy your meals al fresco, and both bedrooms have en-suite facilities.
Filey can be accessed by car and is approximately 3 miles away, or by walking along the beach (subject to tide times). The beach is one of the best you will find with miles of golden sand which is why it has won many awards for being one of the best beaches in the UK. Filey is a very traditional seaside town with plenty of shops, a supermarket, bars and restaurants as well as a golf course. The larger resorts of Scarborough and Bridlington are just a short drive away.
The RSPB bird sanctuary is just along the coast where you can see the puffins, kittiwakes and guillemots from the viewing platforms on the cliffs. The stately homes of Sewerby Hall, Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere House and of course the majestic Castle Howard are just a short drive. For fun with the kids at nearby Scarborough, there is the Sea Life Centre and Alpamare water park with its wave machines and water flumes. The popular Flamingoland theme park and zoo is 45 minutes away. For fantastic holiday memories this will tick all the boxes. Beach 700 yards. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant on-site.
