Welcome to Plastic Bottles House Homestay which was Innovatively Constructed using waste plastic bottles. At our homestay we want to make you feel at home and perfectly do whatever you want unlike in hotels where there are restrictions.
At Plastic Bottles House, we do things differently, we live as a community unlike in hotel setting where you are just given a bed or a room. We normally have dinners together mostly at a free cost but note, we normally prepare local food, therefore, you will have a local taste at Foc.
Why did we choose to use Plastic Bottles?
Ans: In Uganda (i will refer to Uganda because its my home where i have been since birth) garbage disposal behaviour is very poor therefore, wherever it rains trenches end up blocked mainly by plastic waste.
Two, deforestation is highly practised in Uganda because people need firewood to burn bricks that are used for constructing houses.
Therefore, due to the above challenges, constructing using plastic Bottles technique solves both challenges at ago. Instead of locals cutting down trees to get firewood that is used to burn bricks, they instead use ready "brick" of a plastic bottle that hardly need burning.
Our compound is green and large enough for you to relax and rests your mind to the maximum. If you are staying longer we allow you to prepare meals on your own since it's cheaper than buying already cooked food and taste your preferences. A bike if u like riding, free Wi-fi, a couch, compound benches and a pavilion for resting. We are near Entebbe international airport only 25mins ride so, Don't be afraid of missing your flight.

Directions:
We have various routes to our premises depending on the direction you are coming from for example, reaching our premises from Entebbe side, you will need to use a Ferry unlike other routes (which is free of charge and it carries 8 vehicles at a go) . This ferry moves every after an hour to our side and this takes 15mins to cross to our side. Or boats are always available from 6am till 10pm and these moves faster than a ferry since it takes 6-7mins to cross to our premises only that the boats charge you 3000 ugx slightly equivalent to 1dollar. Therefore, you will have another experience on a Ferry ride or boat with the locals.
We are surrounded by 4 beaches only 15mins walk time with a quiet environment only to be disturbed by the birds chap. Enjoy games like darts, ludo, cards, badminton, rope jumping, juggling balls, volleyball and football, among other games. U like swinging? Feel free we have swings. One of our huts was roofed using grass so, you get the feeling of sleeping in a cool grass thatched hut.
The place is quiet enough to allow you forget the town hustles. Parking is available at free cost so, don't be afraid where to park your car.
Camping ️ is extremely possible and our compound can accommodate as many tents as possible.
Shoebil
At Plastic Bottles House together with Mabamba Shoebill Kings we organise trips to Mabamba Swamp the home of unique birds called Shoebill at a cheaper price of 40 Dollars per person the lowest price ever offered. That money includes boat rides in search of shoebill, Entrance and guide fee.

Plastic Bottles House, is a Homestay not a Hotel or guest house. Please take note of this. We a have a different stay setting where we live like one community and we share ideas, play together, share meals at free cost, cook for ourselves, have community camp fire among other activities.
Our aim is to make you comfortable and learn from each other as well as learning how locals stay or live mainly by staying with them at an affordable price
Our home was constructed using Plastic Bottles collected from Kampala And Entebbe town with an aim of showing locals that "waste become waste when you waste it" and that at times solutions to our challenges are always next to us but unnoticed.

To keep our inner places clean, shoes are always left outside since Uganda is a dusty country.
Welcoming other visitors without informing the owner of the premises is highly unacceptable for your security reasons. Parties are allowed since we have huge green space but with prior notice.
Dumping rubbish everywhere is not advisable and as well trash selection must be done (separating decomposing from non decomposing trash).
The house keys are given to you on arrival and you are 100% responsible for those keys and all the property inside.
You are free to change the if you are comfortable with the current one as long as they unoccupied. And forget not to inform the owner.
