Mounticello Log Cabin is a beautiful 4BR/3BA custom-built log cabin that makes guests feel right at home. Located on a 3+ acre estate set just below timberline, guests will have wonderful privacy except for the wildlife visits. Chances are you will see deer, elk, fox and maybe even a bear or two. The driveway is steep and winding - guests MUST have a 4WD to be able to get up the driveway (possibly Chains in snow).
Enter Mounticello through unique custom doors into a warm and welcoming entryway. Bench seating and boot trays offer a convenient spot for you to leave your hiking boots or snowshoes, depending on the season. Heading up the stone stairway you quickly reach an over-sized hall with either access to the Aspen Room - the Master Bedroom Suite or the striking Great Room. Wander into the Great Room, and the mountain views from the sky-high windows will take your breath away. The two-story log cathedral ceiling and walls bathe this room in a soothing golden warmth. The massive stone fireplace, stunning finishes, and beautiful furnishings set the tone for this upscale home built with luxury in mind. A well-appointed gourmet kitchen is tucked in one corner with fantastic bar seating for keeping the cook company. You'll have delicious meals with friends or family at the handcrafted log dining table for 8. Just past the dining table, a sliding glass door opens to a wrap-around deck and another custom outdoor table for 12. A gas grill is located on the stone patio just off the deck. An ample collection of Adirondack chairs span the front of the cabin for early morning coffee or finishing the day while watching a mountain sunset.
A short hallway from the Great Room leads to a full bathroom and two bedrooms. The spacious Moraine Bedroom features a comfy King Bed and Flat Screen TV. Next door, is the whimsical Twin Owls Room for the little ones or those who are still a kid at heart. These bedrooms share a roomy full bath featuring a shower/tub combination.
From the Great Room, a graceful spiral staircase leads up to the Pronghorn Loft. This is a great place for the kids or the grownups to play. A king size bed offers two trundle beds beneath for slumber parties and giggles. Another full bath adds to the convenience of sleeping in this spacious room. A private deck for reading or games sits off one side of the loft. A golden log balcony overlooking the Great Room provides the setting for serenades or spying on the dining or living area below.
As you walk back down the spiral staircase, head back towards the over-sized hallway. If you walk outside to your right, you can access a stone patio with a gas firepit and of course, you are surrounded by mountain pines. We have more to show you though! Wander back inside and step into the Aspen Room - the luxurious Master Suite. This breathtaking room features a private coffee bar, a gas fireplace, a sitting area with HDTV, a 3/4 bath with shower and a luscious King bed that you will melt in. It's the perfect quiet getaway for grandparents or parents.
Because this home is on a well, there is not a washer/dryer available.

- A starter kit of amenities (an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one extra roll of paper towels, 2-3 garbage bags, sample-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner, small bar soap, 4-5 dishwashing pods, and liquid dishwashing soap) is provided. Guests will need to provide or purchase additional toiletries and products as needed beyond this starter kit.

Long-term reservations of 14+ days require mid-stay property safety checks or mid-stay cleans, additional trash pickups and hot tub services. These are charged to the guest, and charges can only be added after your reservation is made. Management will call the guest directly for payment for the following required services.

Mid-stay cleans include cleaning of floors, countertop and furniture surfaces, and bathrooms, and this does include linens.

- BEARS in the area - secure trash, lock doors and windows when leaving.
- Local On-Call Staff available after hours for emergency issues only, i.e. gas leak, broken furnace, broken water line.
- Plowing/shoveling occurs when we have 4 inches of fresh snow on the ground prior to your arrival.
