The Space:
Natural light streams in as you enter the sun-drenched main floor spaces, with every aspect of the home made bold with aesthetic touches. Each room is simple, attractive, and designed with a purpose. The entire house is thoughtfully furnished, with all the amenities you need to make your stay seamless. There are two living spaces with their own kitchen (oven/stove only in main level kitchen) , one on the main level and one on the basement level.
On the main floor, the vaulted-ceiling great room is anchored by a stunning stone fireplace to keep you warm in the winter months. Read, watch your favorite shows, or just catch up with family and friends on the comfortable sectional with an ottoman. Your pets deserve a nice warm spot by the fireplace too and the dog bed we’ve provided is in the perfect spot! There’s also a convenient side table next to the sectional where you’ll find extra blankets to keep you warm.
Following the flow of the open layout leads to the dining room, tastefully designed for special gatherings, yet equally suited for everyday moments. Prepare meals in the open and fully stocked gourmet kitchen and gather at the 6-person farmhouse dining table. A lovely bay window emphasizes the views, perfect for having breathtaking sunrise cups of coffee. We’ve updated the kitchen with all-new stainless steel appliances and provided all the essentials needed to make any meal, such as a blender, toaster, tea kettle, kitchenware, and plenty of utensils. There’s also a mini coffee corner, with a coffee bean grinder, coffee maker, and coffee additives to make the perfect morning brew. Also available is a full-size washer and dryer next to the kitchen.
Along with the three full bathrooms, is a convenient half bath located by the kitchen with a single vanity, toilet, and extra towels available under the sink. The only bedroom on the main floor is the master bedroom, outfitted with a queen size bed, mounted flat screen TV, reading nook, and spacious closet. The master bedroom also enjoys the convenience of having its own, separate full bathroom attached. Get ready for the day in the master bathroom where a large, single vanity with plenty of countertop space and a huge mirror create the perfect space to do hair and makeup. The shower/bath combo is ideal for those who prefer a quick rinse in the morning and a long soak at night.
Impeccable craftsmanship continues upstairs with two more spacious bedrooms, a stylish bathroom, and a landing area that’s been conjured into an office space. Need a dedicated workspace? No problem! The desk and matching desk chair face the window, so you can watch the sunrise while reading, writing, or working on your laptop. The landing area is also a great spot to set up as a play area for the kids.
One of the upstairs bedrooms has a full-sized bed and is perfect for kids, solo sleepers, or the couple who loves to cuddle! It’s a spacious bedroom with a 6-drawer dresser, bedside table, and large windows that overlook the sprawling outdoor spaces. The other second-floor bedroom is unparalleled in quality, beautifully sunlit, and nicely sized. Spread out and get plenty of beauty sleep in the commodious king-sized bed with hotel-grade linens. Wake up to natural sunlight that seeps through the windows. This bedroom also has two bedside tables, near pristine carpet, and a ceiling fan for warmer nights.
The upstairs bedrooms share a large bathroom, similar in style to the downstairs master bathroom. There’s a pristine shower/bath combo, single sink vanity, and fresh linens, towels, and hygiene products to make your stay comfortable and relaxed.
At the very bottom level is a finished basement that’s been transformed into a guest house. This area is perfect for groups with two families or older adults who’d prefer their own separate space. There’s another living room with a large sectional so that you and your group can spread out and watch sports on the big flat screen tv. Bring gameday to the next level on the reclining sectional that even has cup holders.
Adjacent to the living room is the second kitchen for additional meal-prepping space. All the necessary dishes, pots, pans, and utensils are supplied to make you feel at home. Share these meals and conversations at the counter seating with four chairs. There’s also another stackable washer/dryer unit in the kitchen so guests can do plenty of laundry during their stay. The property is also equipped with portable AC.
Down the hall and through the gorgeous French doors is the only basement bedroom. It holds a lavish king-sized bed with matching bedside tables and a huge dresser. This bedroom is completely separate from the rest of the sleeping quarters, so you’ll enjoy absolute privacy and quiet. Fresh linens and towels are happily provided. This bedroom also has the advantage of having its own bathroom with a shower/bath combo and elegant vanity.
Seamless movement between indoors and the rest of its 5 acres, adds to the peace, tranquility, and security of this fantastic property. Situated on a wide-open lot, this property offers a beautifully landscaped lawn and views of Peyton Valley. The outdoor spaces are composed of porch and patio areas, neatly manicured lawns, a jacuzzi, and a gas fireplace with seating to cozy up by! Take the dogs on a walk around the property and explore the open spaces.
Guest Access:
We will send you detailed instructions no less than 48 hours prior to your arrival after you complete our verification portal. You will have privacy and access to the entire house using your special code given upon booking. Front door has a digital smart lock.
The Neighborhood:
You’ll be staying in the lovely community of Woodlake, a rural mountain neighborhood located in the rural community of Elbert, CO. Elbert is located east of I-25 in an area of rolling hills, and lies in the middle between Colorado Springs and Denver. This area attracts outdoor enthusiasts from all over, looking to take advantage of the endless open-air activities that Colorado has to offer. Being in close proximity of Elizabeth, CO, and Black Forest, CO, this house is the perfect staycation for anyone looking to enjoy the country lifestyle while still having the ability to explore the city life.
Elbert has a number of eateries and shops to choose from, including local favorites Patty Ann’s Cafe and The Carriage Shoppes. For outdoor activities, take part in a Nature & Wildlife tour, or visit the Castlewood Canyon State Park in nearby Franktown.
Falcon also has several restaurants, stores, and breweries if you need any last-minute items for your trip!

Getting Around:
This is in a rural area with dirt roads. We do strongly recommend a 4X4 or AWD vehicle with a higher clearance, especially during inclement weather.

-This house is dog friendly, Please be respectful of those who will stay after you by cleaning up all pet waste and disposing of it in the large trash bins. Thank you in advance!
* Dogs are welcome for an additional fee ($75 per dog). 3 dogs max. All dogs must be approved before check-in. No other animals are permitted unless they are Certified service animals. There are no charges for service animals.
