Full of character, with impressive beamed vaulted ceilings, exposed stone walls, two separate staircases to the first floor and superb gardens which benefit from stunning, far reaching countryside views, the property is perfect for any group occasion. Popular with walkers and cyclists, the village is home to a local pub which is just a stone’s throw from the property and has been established for over 400 years. Due to the area being sheep country, there is no access to the surrounding fields.
Nearby Longor, 2 miles, has additional local facilities including a couple of traditional pubs, a cafe and fish and chip shop all set around the historic, cobbled market square. The market town of Buxton, famous for its spring water, diverse architecture and iconic opera house, is around 15 minutes away, and the ever popular Bakewell, home to the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, is around 20 minutes away. Finally, the UK’s premier theme park, Alton Towers, can be reached in around half an hour. Shop 2¼ miles, pub 175 yards, restaurant 1½ miles.
