I give you my Mid Century Modern Guest Room, minutes from downtown Sacramento, and in an award winning home. You'll have a private entrance into your own space, and street parking, visable from the guest room. I enjoy a 4.92 rating on Airbnb, with 196 reviews over 2 years.
The home won the 1952 national builder of the year award, and a 5 page spread in the February 1952 Parent's Magazine. I adapted the original garage to a comfortable and roomy studio with full bath, adding amenities as I would want my home away from home to be. I keep it very clean and stylish without clutter. The natural lighting is extraordinary, and includes a skylight. The bed is a queen for a perfect night's sleep. There is a smart tv and high speed wifi. The kitchenette includes a microwave, mini fridge freezer, and Kuereg. Starbucks is 1/4 mile. Just a short walk is Sacramento's favorite breakfast spot, Flapjacks, our family owned, mid century diner.
The neighborhood is very quiet, and all the homes are family owned. There are multiple parks nearby.
Within a quarter mile are Trader Joe's, Sprouts and lots of international dining. Within a half mile is Kaiser hospital. Within 2 miles are Cal Expo, 2 theater complexes and Arden Fair Mall. Freeways to downtown Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, Sacramento and San Francisco are 5 minutes away. UCDavis Hospital and campus are 10 and 20 minutes respectively. Sacramento State University is 4 miles.
