The main level, accessed with just one step from the parking area, has a central great room with a wall of windows and sliding glass doors overlooking the views, 22-foot knotty pine cathedral ceilings with 10-foot ceilings in the rest of the rooms, a stone gas log wall switch-operated fireplace, a built in log mantle, and a nook for the HDTV & DVD player. Comfortable leather furniture is arranged around the fireplace and looking out the windows. Also in the great room is a dining table with room for 12 with an authentic 4 foot wide antler chandelier overhead, as well as the fully stocked kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances.
The master suite, in the east wing of the main floor, has a King bed on a log frame, a stone gas log fireplace with wall switch controls, sliding doors to the deck, and a private bathroom with a water closet, a soaking tub and separate shower, a granite vanity, and a walkin closet.
The west wing of the main floor has two bedrooms and a full bathroom with a tub/shower. Each room has a Queen bed.
Downstairs there is a recreation room with a slate-topped pool table with ping pong topper, a tiki bar, a kitchenette with mini-fridge, sink, and microwave, a sleeper sofa, and a 65" HDTV. There are two more Queen bedrooms here as well, along with a full bathroom. The entire lower level also has 10-foot ceilings. Step outside to the brand new patio and take a relaxing dip in the beautiful new Bullfrog Spas hot tub!
This home was truly designed with everyone's comfort in mind. The 60 foot long deck on the main floor has a gas grill mainlined to the home's main tank as well as a selection of furniture to relax and enjoy the amazing views. Relax in the hammock under the deck, and at night watch the city lights twinkle on the horizon while you roast marshmallows in the firepit. An oversized hot water heater serves the home, and there are three heat & air zones.
Perched atop a mountain near historic Banner Elk, the cabin is just 3 miles to Wildcat Lake for fishing and swimming in summer months, 20-25 minutes to Sugar Mountain, Hawksnest, and Ski Beech resorts, 10 minutes to downtown Banner Elk, and just 40 minutes to Boone and all the other High Country attractions. You and your loved ones are sure to enjoy beautiful A Point of View for years to come!

This home is accessed by a paved road with a moderate uphill climb, and the driveway is gravel and circular with the first entry being a little less steep than the second. The roads and the first entrance to the driveway are all plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access the property in winter months. We are happy to help you find the home with the access you are most comfortable with, any time of year!

Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
