Aloha Suites is a completely private two bedroom unit that is 7.5 miles from Kona airport and a 6 mile drive from the heart of Kona town. It is nestled among the native forestry on the peaceful slopes of Hualalai with both mountain and ocean views. Nearby is Kaloko Cloud Forest tours, coffee farm tour and hiking trails, including the “Jurassic” trail (see photos). E kipa mai!
This unit is a 2 bedroom, one bathroom unit with private entry. None of these spaces are shared or accessible by anyone else on property.
The entry door leads into Room 1. Room 1 is spacious with a king size bed, and tv sitting area featuring Hawaiian artwork. An air mattress is available upon request before check-in.
There is a small counter with a microwave, mini fridge, toaster and coffee maker— the same as would be offered in a standard hotel room.
Room 2 is across the hallway featuring a king size bed with a closet space and a recliner chair.
This rental unit has one spacious, private bathroom (see photos).
One dedicated parking stall directly in front of the aloha suites is appointed for you.
There is an inaccessible door connected to the main home office/garage and it remains double locked on both sides at all times .
This is a three acre property which includes Hawaii forest reserve so you will be surrounded by the cool dreamy mists of Hualalai mountain and the sounds of nature, including birds and coqui frogs.
There is one designated parking space directly in front of the rental unit and will be clearly marked with two orange cones.
Our family lives on property but we respect your privacy and our interaction is minimal. We will say "hello" if we see you in the parking area. Please message us through the app anytime you need something. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner.
This is an opportunity to stay in the only "cloud forest" in the USA! Unlike rainforests that are typically muggy and humid, cloud forests are at cooler elevations and often shrouded in a dreamlike mist. You are surrounded by a lush Hawaiian forest featuring awapuhi, heliconia, orchids, guava, avocado, and lehua. If you want to be in the high traffic touristy areas near the ocean, this is not the location for you. Guests who want to retreat to a cooler elevation and donʻt mind driving 12 minutes out of the center of town will most appreciate our location.
***Mountain Thunder Coffee Farm is nearby with free guided tours. Learn about this 100% Private Reserve coffee while also enjoy a walking tour and lava tubes.
***Nearby is Pa’ina Place, a special event venue which hosts weddings and private parties in a garden like setting.
***Kaloko Cloud Forest Guided Walking Tours are a short drive away.

*** Beach lovers can soak up the sand and surf and retreat to a cool forest within minutes. King Kamehameha Beach and Kailua Pear is 6.5 miles from our home and Pine Trees surfing beach is 8.7 miles away. Costco is directly down the hill and 6 miles away. You would never guess youʻre so centrally located, while in the cool serene of a native forest.
There is one designated parking stall directly in front of the unit.
Early check in requests are passed along to the contracted cleaning team and they will notify us if the unit is available before the scheduled check in time.
There is shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper and access to towels and beach towels. Any additional amenities not already in the unit should be provided by the guest.
Please note there is no stove and hood range in this unit. There is also no washer or dryer in the Aloha Suites, so please do a map search for the nearest laundromat or laundry service. Tyke’s Laundromat is six miles away.
Only registered guests are allowed on premises. Please ensure your airbnb reservation is current.
The host family lives on property but interaction is minimal and we respect your privacy. We have a family dog on property that is about 24 pounds. He’s a sweet guy but you may see or hear him barking. He does not pass the garage or go near the rental unit as he has an invisible fence. This is also why we ask that guests not wander around the property beyond the area immediately around the aloha suites.
Please remove shoes and remove ALL sand from feet and inside swimwear before entering the unit. There is a water hose to the side of the house for your use to rinse off. No parties, no smoking, registered guests only on property.
For your safety as well as the privacy of the host familyʻs children and their pets, please do not wander around the property beyond the garden area immediately outside your rental.
Upon checkout, please do the following:
-Leave all trash in the trash can in the unit. No loose trash.
-Place all used towels in one pile.
The hosts live on property with children. Please DRIVE SLOWLY in the driveway, no more than 5 mph. Thank you!
