Positive: All open plan but with good curtaining to make bedroom and kitchen more private. Lots of extra bedding, blankets, towels & pillows. Lovely fluffy blankets for sitting on patio in the cool evenings and afternoons. Very quiet garden with forest creatures and sounds. Comfy settee for indoor relaxing. Fridge has small freezer as well for freezer blocks etc, useful when moving on with left over fridge stuff. Bathroom has washing machine in it (we didn’t use it).

Negative: No pre arrival instructions/email/messages. I rang the lady on arrival. She didn’t speak English ( which is not obligatory), so, we spoke with my partial German, but was difficult, on the phone, to understand where and how to use the key box. Would be better if that info given before we arrive (as in other other places). Also a simple welcome guide to how things work, wifi password etc., in the apartment, maybe on the table, in clear view. The shower didn’t drain very quickly, so had to keep turning water off for it to catch. But actual shower cubicle a good size and easy to use. The bed was against the wall on one side so for any night time visits to the loo etc., I had to crawl to the bottom of the bed to get out.

Summary: Quiet apartment ,with patio garden, in the black forest, all amenities, cozy blankets for sitting outside.
