This apartment is on the ground floor of a two-floor chalet. It has a double bed, couch, television, kitchenette with cooking utensils, a shower and toilet. The apartment has a small balcony and a nearby large outdoor deck with incredible island views.
The houses are set on a rural hillside property at Papa Aroha, just north of Coromandel Town. Guests can walk to a nearby secluded stony beach, go fishing, hike in the bush or just relax and enjoy spectacular sunsets over the Hauraki Gulf. This is a great base to explore the beauty of the Coromandel Peninsula.

Summary: The good (great). It is remote and private with beautiful accomodation, private beaches and loads to do, if you're an outdoorsy type. It was, in a word, perfect. You will see us again!The surprise. The cabin we were in was a double story. We were at the bottom with other guests in the top. We didn't know or expect this (possibly in the fine print?) and expected more privacy. There are other cabins that are not built for multiple groups and we expected one of those but maybe it was reflected in the price we paid, which was very reasonable! The couple above us was extremely considerate but it could easily have turned out differently. We did feel sorry for them - our suppers smelled wonderful and we think they would have been aware... if it was you, sorry! Communications are not immediate but thorough. Our host got back to us as soon as she could and was very, very friendly and helpful when she did. It was absolutely worth it and we'll do it again in a heartbeat. We'll be sure to book a single cabin next time round.
