Kitty’s Cabin is a pet friendly, private log home with hot tub, deck and views! We love the high ceilings and open floor plan. Nestled in the Gateway Mountain nature preserve, Kitty's Cabin is a secluded getaway in the tranquil Blue Ridge Mountains.
This spacious log home features dramatic ceilings, hardwood floors, a stone gas fireplace, a wraparound deck, view windows and three level living, each with its own bedroom, bathroom and living area for maximum privacy. The open floor plan on the main level connects kitchen, dining and living areas, providing a comfortable atmosphere for relaxing and entertaining. The large kitchen has plenty of beautiful stone counterspace, and everything you need to prepare your meals. The living area has lots of comfy seating. Bedrooms are on all three levels. The upper level has a seating area with a balcony overlooking the main level below. The lower level has a large open floor plan with a big bedroom, bathroom and living area. Outside you can enjoy the wraparound deck. Soak in the hot tub and enjoy the views!
The cabin sits on 15 acres, making it very private and secluded. There are private hiking trails starting in the parking area and meandering down along the creeks below where you will find log seating and some old stone structures. Enjoy sharing this truly peaceful setting with family, friends and pets.
Gateway Mountain nature preserve is very natural and untamed, with only 300 houses on its 3000 sprawling acres. Private hiking trails wind through the woods in many areas. There are three small lakes on the property where you can fish, canoe, swim and relax. Be sure to visit the upper and lower falls at Waterfall Park where you can swim and go behind the lower waterfall. There is a covered picnic area there with a large stone table.
The surrounding area is a gateway to the beautiful Appalachian Mountains and endless opportunities for hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities. It’s an easy hike to Catawba Falls, a stunning 100-foot waterfall that is sure to impress. Bring your mountain bike, your kayak and other outdoor gear! Asheville and Black Mountain are just down the road so check out the Biltmore Estate and other nearby attractions.
