Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Friendly hosts, quaint island, short drive from the Amsterdam Airport, and easy access to Keukenhof Gardens and The Hague.
Negative: Lots of reviews for this area complain about the airport noise. Planes stop at a reasonable time at night and don’t start again until about 6 in the morning. I don’t think you could stay anywhere in this part of Holland and not have done plane noise … it’s a MAJOR international airport!
