Welcome to the Summer Squall in North Chatham! This is a pet friendly, waterfront estate. It has a dock with a swim ladder on Crow's Pond, which leads out to Pleasant Bay, Chatham harbor, and the ocean. Find your little piece of heaven in this 4 bedroom Cape Cod rental home in Chatham with spacious, manicured gardens, great outdoor spaces, central air conditioning, a generator, and broadband-speed wifi, too. Walk across the lawn to your own sandy beach in front of the house. New patios with hot tub, fire pit, dining area, two mahogany outdoor showers and outdoor kitchen with grill, double burner, ice maker, frig and sink were installed in the past year as well as 3 updated bathrooms and redone 2nd floor bedrooms!
The house and decor are refined and smartly appointed while still being very livable with a relaxed coastal feel. It has 3 full and 1 half bath, 3 of them updated in the past year. Trees and shrubs surrounding the grounds make this a very private getaway in this exclusive Harbor Coves neighborhood- great for running or biking around.
Down the long driveway and through the breezeway, you will enter a hallway with Bedroom #1 that has a full bed, and on the left is a laundry room with washer and dryer. On the right next to Bedroom #1 is a half bath (or powder room). There is also a door that leads out to the side yard where you will find the outdoor showers and hot tub.
To the right is the family room with fireplace, flat screen TV with DVD player, record player and stereo, Wii and Playstation 4 game systems and an enclosed wet bar. Take in the views or head out the door that leads out to the backyard, dock on Crow's Pond, beach and deck and new patio with lounge chairs, fire pit, outdoor live edge dining table for 12, umbrella, new outdoor kitchen with refrigerator, 48" gas grill, double burner, ice maker and sink. There is plenty of outdoor living space with a huge lawn for running around. You will find yourself drawn to the water's edge, where you can enjoy a 360 degree view from the dock and sunsets over the water from the deck! You can also watch it or the many fireworks displays that Eastward Ho Country Club puts on during the summer from the hammock. Then wash off in the 2 new large mahogany outdoor showers and take a dip in the new hot tub with mahogany surround and seating.
The house comes with many extras for your use such as paddle boards/SUP, kayaks, surf boards, bikes, a windsurfing board, boogie boards, snorkel gear, tubes, quahog rakes, fishing poles, beach chairs, coolers, board games, sports gear like baseball mitts and golf clubs and yard games such as cornhole, volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, wiffle ball, croquet and bocce among others. Everything you need to enjoy your stay! Any special requests just ask.
The Cape Cod bike trail is only 2.3 miles away, and the neighborhood is also a great place to bike ride. The beach in front of the house is full of quahogs, conchs, soft shell clams and bay scallops - you just need a little raking to dig up dinner. Crow's Pond is also the ideal place for waterskiing, tubing, wakeboarding and kneeboarding since it is a circular inlet largely protected from the ocean waves. You can also quickly boat to the Wequassett Resort from Crow's Pond, where you can tie up your boat for lunch or afternoon drinks.
To the right of the family room is a completely renovated eat-in kitchen that has a center island with breakfast bar, espresso maker, Subzero refrigerator and Wolf range with double oven. This kitchen has all the tools a chef would need to make huge meals for the family. The eat-in area has a bay window with bench seating as well. Through the kitchen is the formal living room with fireplace and dining area. There is also a queen-sized pull-out couch in this room as well if needed.
Through this living room is another wing of the home that has the master bedroom with king bed and flat screen TV. There is a full en suite, updated bathroom with double vanity and large walk in shower with rainhead, body sprays and handheld. It also has a large walk-in closet. On the other side of this wing is a picturesque screened-in sunroom to enjoy your favorite books, beverages, the peaceful water views and the many birds and other animals that visit the yard. This room has sliders to the backyard and water.
Through the front door is a foyer that has another full bathroom with a curbless walk-in shower and a staircase that leads to the other 2 bedrooms and full bathroom with tub overlooking Crow's pond, double vanity and large curbless walk-in shower. Follow the stairs to the 2nd floor where you will find Bedroom #3 with a queen bed on the left side. To the right is Bedroom #4 with 2 Twin beds, 1 Double Bed and a flat screen TV. Both rooms offer water views. The full bath is off the hall between the 2 bedrooms.
You have your own private beach but may also enjoy the use of the association beach down the road and the landing to put in your boat. If you would like to rent a boat for your stay here, we have a 17' Boston Whaler Montauk with a 90 hp outboard, perfect for fishing, water sports, exploring the beaches and islands and cruising around with family and friends, and a 14' Catalina Capri sailboat, ideal for a relaxing sail around Pleasant Bay, enjoying a glass of wine at sunset and heading to the beach. These boats are moored in front of the house and can be rented from us for an additional fee and agreement. There is a row boat for your use as well. The new dock with swimming ladder and space for 3 boats is private but we allow our neighbor to use it too when he is here.
Linens such as bed sheets, bath towels, beach towels, kitchen towels and bath mats are provided as well as your initial supply of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, paper towels, toilet paper as well as kitchen basics like spices, flour, sugar, etc. In addition we provide a welcome bag with other goodies!
