Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cabin, including the small shed near the spa and the garage. Please note that the garage is not to be used for parking and is designated for use as a game room, mudroom, and storage. Cameras are present inside the garage to protect the host's personal property.
*** A prior guest has unfortunately damaged the fort beyond minimal repair and it will be closed until further notice***
Guests DO NOT have access to the host's firewood located behind the detached fort, and cameras are also present in that area for security.

✔ SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED - please see house manual
✔ NO PETS - For safety reasons, we do not permit pets or animals on the property, unless they are registered service animals. If this is the case, please submit the paperwork to the host. Please see house manual for further discussions.
✔ NO PARTIES - please see house manual
✔ There is NO central A/C. Upon request (similarly to many cabins in Big Bear), the host has a portable A/C unit for use.
✔ The detached fort is not part of the main cabin, but it is less than 5 ft from the back deck.
✔ We do not provide firewood for the Wood-Burning Stove. If needed, it can be purchased at nearly all grocery stores, DIY, and also it is sold at smaller stores by the wheelbarrow. However, we recommend you purchase it down the mountain at a cheaper rate.
✔ Please avoid putting any non-approved materials in the wood-burning stove, such as trash, cardboard, or treated wood. Only use seasoned, dry firewood to maintain safety and efficiency.
✔ MINI Dryer - the dryer is a mini dryer located in the garage.
✔ Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay, whether accidental or intentional. Please treat the property and its contents with care. Any damage must be reported to the host immediately, and you may be charged for repairs or replacement costs if necessary. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
✔ There are exterior Blink cameras on the right side of the front of the cabin, left side of the garage, behind the detached fort, at the backdoor facing down towards the entrance (away from deck and spa), and near the host's personal items in the garage. The host primarily uses them to monitor the cleaning and maintenance team’s arrival and departure.
✔ Chains are required during the winter and a 4x4 or equivalent vehicle is recommended.
✔ Guests staying during snowfall should be prepared to navigate snow around the home if needed. There is a snow shovel at the home available for your use, located in the shed near the spa. If there is severe snowfall, we will have the driveway plowed. Please note, the street (outside of the fenced area is plowed frequently by the City).
✔ Occasionally, Big Bear City and the surrounding areas experience power outages. Big Bear tries to restore power as quickly as possible.
