Positive: We had a lovely stay at Burnside Cottage. It’s perfectly located for exploring Islay, while still offering a real sense of peace. Tucked away at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the cottage enjoys lovely, unspoilt views from the garden. The cottage itself is cosy, comfortable and well-equipped, with convenient parking at the front. The extra bedding provided was especially appreciated during the colder nights. A thoughtful welcome pack meant we could enjoy a hot drink on arrival. Much appreciated after the journey. We also had the pleasure of meeting Peter the owner, who kindly popped by to make sure that we had everything we needed - a genuinely warm and attentive host. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend Burnside Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing stay on Islay.

Summary: This was our first visit to Islay for a short Spring break, we wouldn’t hesitate to return.
