Positive: CasaBlanca is a typical Tico house in the middle of the village next to the park. The owner, Robert, is an excellent host. A visit to Canho Negro is best in February/March/April during the dry season (more crocodiles and birds!). However, we during the rainy season it's very quiet and we still saw a variety of animals and birds. We did two boat tours offered by Robert's company (Colibri Tours) with an excellent guide and saw spider monkeys, sloths, a deer, agouti's and many birds, among them the Black Coloured Hawk, Trogons, Herons, Kingfishers and a rare Manakin. We had good meals at the Fogon restaurant. A visit to Canho Negro and a stay at the CasaBlanca is highly recommended.
Negative: There's no kitchen stove, but there is a microwave, rice cooker etc.
Summary: Pleasant stay at CasaBlanca: excellent starting point to enjoy birds and wildlife
