Positive: Beautiful location directly on a hiking trail. Lovely view overlooking the mountains and sea. Managed by the owners themselves, a lovely couple and very prompt communication. I arrived in the afternoon and was met in person for the check in. Absolutely no mobile phone reception so make sure you make a note of the wifi details that are sent to you before the booking, and the photos that show the way to the apartment. The apartment was a bit smaller than I expected from the photos but comfortable enough. Very well equipped kitchenette, everything new and clean. Lovely shower and amazing bed. Slept like an angel :) Since some reviews commented on humidity: The bedroom doesn’t have a window and the location is naturally humid because it is near the area of Anaga that is permanently foggy. So yes is did smell a bit musty in the bedroom but the building did not seem obviously damp. There was also an electric radiator and dehumidifier so I had no problem drying my clothes. The bathroom has an extractor fan that works well. There are 2 similar sized apartments, I stayed in the slightly larger one on the right for just one night while hiking from one side of the coast to the other. Travelling on my own I felt very safe. If you are short for water, there is a public tap with delicious spring water up the hill on the path from/towards Chamorga (approximately 15mins walk from the house).
Negative: Just some suggestions: a hairdryer would have been nice, and a kitchen towel and maybe a separate bin for recycling.
