Casa Lilu is a quaint, rustic house restored to its former glory and updated with new comforts that will amaze, right on the tip of the peninsula, Santa Eduviges, Fray Casiano. The place is located right on the Estero and River from Puntarenas. We have a great view from our deck over the water to the "Angostura" from Puntarenas. There is NO other place like this in Costa Rica. We are also conveniently located only 5 miles to the Ferry, supermarkets, bakery, pulperia are located close. We are in a "Real Tico Neighborhood" this is NOT a setup for the tourists, not a million dollar villa on top of a hill where you don't see or hear a soul as long as you are there, our place is right where live goes on, this is how people really live in Costa Rica. The neighbors are mostly fisherman and retired people, all are friendly, humble and working class, this is how 95% of all ticos are.

There is always some movement on the water, boats come and go all day, sometimes at night we have a couple of shrimp fishers 3 meters of the deck. They will sell you Jumbo Shrimps if you ask for cheap. It's great, sitting on the deck never gets boring, there is always something to see. There are also hundreds of birds around all day, different species, coming and going, water landing, fishing, fighting, floating around, fishing vessels, small boats, big boat, you can even see the cruise ships coming and going to Puntarenas at night - Spectacular
We are on a river, that connects to the ocean. At high tide, there is a chance that garbage or debris floats by, Ticos don't care very much about the environment. If something like this bothers you, then this place is NOT for you.
The bus stop is on the next corner, the bus will take you to Chacarita, Puntarenas Center, El Roble and other locations. Taxi's can be called, the public bus station is just 100m away
We also have a free running mid size dog, a "Mud" and Oso is his name. He is extremely friendly, playful and quiet. He does not enter any buildings and he is watching out for you and us. Our guests love the dog !
