1 Bedroom Cottage in Paso Robles

This well appointed duplex is ideally located downtown Paso Robles. Situated only 1.5 blocks from the City Park and 5 blocks from Hwy 101, it is a perfect home base for exploring Paso's rich and growing wine, food and boutique culture. The unit has been recently remodeled to keep with its historic hacienda style architecture while offering you an especially comfortable, clean, and enjoyable place to stay. There is 1 queen size bed in the bedroom and 1 pull-out sofa in the living room. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a micro/convection oven. You will also enjoy free hi-speed wi-fi internet access, and a flatscreen TV with blu-ray/dvd player. Both duplex units, Casita Azul and Casita Rojo can be rented together or separate, and have adjoining interior doors. The large backyard has ample seating and multiple coal BBQs. It's shared by the duplex units and our house unit, which is available as well. There's one designated parking spot in the back.

Summary: Excellent location, loved being able to walk to restaurants, the farmers' market, etc. The casita is cute and has the basics, but was diminished by a strong, musty odor we noticed as soon as we walked in the door. There is no closet, just a few hangers on some wall pegs in the bedroom. (We'd suggest a hotel-style clothing rack in the little hallway outside the bathroom door as a solution.) The bathroom would benefit from a couple of shelves and a corner shower shelf for shampoo and soap. All this considered, we enjoyed our stay and would return for another visit.
