Summary: Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo unit is in a small set of low-rise buildings that have some of the best views and location in Cayucos. Steps from the beach and also downtown plus with easy access to the highway to Hearst Castle, Morro Bay and other sights. Cayucos is the Mayberry of beach towns with the friendliest most polite people and just the right number of shops and restaurants. We felt safe, welcome and happy. However, the condos here are perhaps 1960s/70s construction and showing their age. And the cheesy Home Goods/Dollar Tree attempts at beachy decor in this unit do not do it any favors. But there are some very nice updated contemporary appliances in the kitchen - the most handsome microwave ever. The great view on the deck is visible only in the living room. The bedrooms are small and dark. (The upstairs bathroom fan didn't work but thankfully the adjoining bedroom had a window!) But who wants to spend time indoors anyway? This is a serviceable space to sleep, have breakfast and then get out and go to the beach or into town for a lovely day in Cayucos.
