Positive: Room 2: A very nice room , however there was lots of mold on one side of the wall and I changed to room 3. The owners started to work on the mold problem in room number 2 , maybe by now the problem is fixed. Room number 3: A very nice room ! Large and clean with a panorama glass door to the balcony. The view is magnificent , just nature in front of you. The sun is rising right in front of the guest rooms. You don't even need to get up from the bed to watch it. 😊 The guesthouse has 6 rooms, all of them are beautiful and each of them has a huge private balcony with a wonderful view. All rooms are individually set up so you don't have any other people sitting next to you at the balcony. A fantastic level of privacy ! The lighting in the room and the balcony is good. The bathroom is spacious and the shower has good water pressure and hot water. The kettle, tea, coffee and the provided drinking water were appreciated for making hot drinks. There is also a fridge in the room and even adapters for European style electric appliances. The guest house is located on a hill , away from the noisy center of Ella. The owners are delightful , kind, attentive and quiet. No TV noise, no crappy music ! It's a blessing. If there is any noise at all it will be from other tourists. The breakfast is outstanding. A Sri Lankan / Western fusion. Every day it is a bit different and always tasty and plentiful. The vegetable curry for dinner was some of the best food I had in Sri Lanka. The owner adjusted to my requests of vegetarian, non spicy food without Tumeric. 😊 Overall the owners are really striving to give an excellent service and they take suggestions seriously to improve their guesthouse. Just a few minutes walk away in the main road are nice restaurants for meals and drinks. It was the most special and relaxing place where I stayed in Sri Lanka. I can stay here for 10 days or more.
Negative: Room 2: The mold Room 3: I don't like spring mattresses. A shelf or cupboard to store things is missing.
