This idyllic 1940's rustic waterfront log cabin is a place to relax and unwind in the tranquility of the water and woods. Croton Pond offers 1300 acres of water to explore right off of our dock with kayaks, SUP board and peddle boat provided. Spend the day on the water and then cozy up to a bonfire overlooking the water at night. Explore the nearby North Country Trail and Dragon Trail for amazing hiking and biking adventures. Come enjoy the peace and quiet, surrounded by nature!
The cabin has a beautiful rustic log interior, an inviting stone fireplace, and breathtaking views of the water. For the home chef, there is a fully stocked kitchen with all the essential cooking implements and full sized dishwasher, stove and fridge. The bathroom has a full tub/shower combo and includes shampoo, conditioner and body wash for guests. All bed and bath linens are provided.
The main cabin has 2 bedrooms. The spacious 200 sq. ft. master bedroom overlooks the water and has a separate sitting area that includes a pull-out twin sofa bed. The second bedroom is generously sized and overlooks the woods where deer are often spotted. Both bedrooms have dressers plus ample closet space.
The third bedroom is a bright and airy 200 sq.ft. bunkhouse with windows on all sides and panoramic water views. This cozy space has a daybed which converts from a twin to a king, and also has a separate fold out cot bed. There is a buffet with a mini fridge and a TV. The bunkhouse has electricity but no bathroom facilities.
The main cabin has a 30,000 BTU propane wall heater and large fireplace for heating during the cooler season, and a large window A/C unit to keep guests comfortably cool during the hotter season.
Outdoors there is a large covered waterfront porch and a large fire pit which are delightful gathering spots. Guests will enjoy sitting on the dock and enjoying the tranquility of the water. There are 2 kayaks, 4-person pedal boat, stand-up paddle board and life jackets available for guest use. We also have open dock spaces for those wishing to launch their own watercraft at the easy-to-access public launch nearby. It’s hard to beat a day on the water of Croton Pond with its many special coves, natural springs and small waterfalls!
