Come and stay in our lovely, updated home, you won't be disappointed! Perfect place for a winter getaway to the mountains for a ski/snowboard. Best place to stay to relax in the summer on the lake! This Lake Front Vacation Rental on Lake Shasta was acquired in 2008. We completely renovated our home in 2017 complete with new flooring throughout, new windows new cabinets, new appliances, and a new AC unit. This really is an exquisite retreat! The property is a very roomy 2,300 s.f. family vacation rental on a third of an acre lot, with a game room in the garage with a pool table and on-site parking. This resort house is located in the quaint community of Lakehead and backs to Shasta Trinity National Forest Land with a private gate to the Forest Service trail directly to the Lake. There is nothing between you and the Lake except your desire to get there! The lake is low this year due to the lack of rainfall. That being said, there is still water behind the house in the cove. Lake Shasta is a large reservoir with 365 miles of shoreline so even when the water is low, there is still plenty of water to enjoy! The house sleeps 9 adults in very comfy beds with plenty of room for additional children. There is plenty of room in this house to accommodate large groups. You will be more than pleased with our well-stocked home. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and serve gourmet or quick easy meals. There is a second full-sized refrigerator in the garage. A large shaded private deck looks directly into the forest and the lake cove behind the property. The patio area is set up for outdoor meals or relaxing with a table, chairs, and barbeque. You can tie your boat to the shore or rent a slip at a nearby marina. Don’t have a boat? There are plenty of reasonable rentals for everything from jet-skis, ski boats, fishing boats, and patio boats are available locally. Don’t want a boat? Relax by the shore in a lounge chair, float on the warm water in our quiet cove or fish. We keep a supply of rafts, water toys and other floats for our guest's use. Well-behaved dogs are welcome with an additional deposit (leash laws are enforced in the community). This is a Non-smoking house but there are designated areas to smoke outside.
