BlockAway Beach House is a Duplex situated just one block from the historic main street in downtown Long Beach; featuring go karts, horseback riding, mini-golf, bike rentals, the famous Marsh’s Museum, quirky beach shops and many wonderful restaurants, cafe’s and candy shops! We are walking distance from it all! The beach is a 0.5 mile walk, bike ride or drive away. Tempur-Pedic Bed, Covered Sunroom, Heated Jacuzzi Tub, Heated Floors, Dual Shower Rainfall, Electric Bidet Heated Seats, Fireplace, & more.
On Side A, you will have full access to all areas photographed in this listing. This includes the entire two bedroom, two full bath unit, including the sunroom and the private back yard. You will also have access to the shared front yard and Game Room. Side A features a nature-inspired theme, reflecting our son's love for collecting treasures from the outdoors. It’s also thoughtfully furnished with more accessible pieces to better accommodate our elderly guests.
We've turned the garage into a laid-back shared game room, stretching across the entire space of two garages, so there’s plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. It's packed with a mix of nostalgic and classic games—pinball, an arcade machine with over 1,700 games, air hockey, and ping pong. There's a vintage CRT TV stacked with old VHS tapes and DVDs, plus some retro Nintendo games if you're in the mood for that throwback feel. A vending machine, a cozy leather couch, and an electric fireplace make it an easy spot to unwind. We've also set up a media station with a stereo / radio and a collection of records and cassette tapes, perfect for playing tunes and setting the mood while you hang out.
Guests usually spend most of their time exploring or in their private spaces, so chances are you'll find opportunities to have the game room all to yourself. But with all this space, it’s also the perfect spot to mix and mingle—whether you're up for a friendly game or looking to make new friends during your time at the coast.
