Summary: This is a great little bungalow/duplex in a very historic and vintage part of Uptown, with lots of classic Uptown old homes from the turn of the century nearby, most that have been converted to businesses (law offices, dress designers, etc). Very simple and basic unit, but also very clean and nice. Everything is pretty new and the layout is great for one person or a couple. The best parts of this are the charming neighborhood, the vintage small homes, and the proximity to McKinney and all the great shops and restaurants here. Very close to a walk to Klyde Warren Park, the Museums, and Katy Trail which is fun. This area is a delight and has a lot of charm and character. Having Whole Foods at the end of the street is a great convenience - the best. Love it. Note of caution: just bring your earplugs if you are sensitive to noise and a light sleeper like I am. Only a reviewer will capture this so here I go: airplanes are quite loud flying directly overhead, throttling engines up in take-off from Dallas Love Field from 9pm to 1am every night, every few minutes – with a few planes even from 1-3am. They start up again at 6am (even on Sunday morning!!!). This unit is directly under the flight path so it’s loud. This is true for the whole area so people obviously get used to it living here so might not be an issue for everyone. Also you can hear the adjoining shared-wall bungalow unit occupant very clearly (sometimes at 3am in my case, and their 3 large dogs …. ) – so have some earplugs handy, they sure saved me. Overall this is a great unit in a spectacular area. The management is very responsive and helpful.
