MacDonald's Dromore Estate is a stunning one-of-a-kind property situated on two private acres, (33,890 sq ft) of land above the peaceful Bitter End sailboat marina. The estate features two unique homes: the Dromore Manor, a 3600 square foot custom, professionally decorated Victorian style home, and its little sister, the Lilac Cottage, a 960 square foot cabin nestled amongst the trees with a private veranda, originally built in 1891. Enjoy the stunning beauty, peace, and quiet of Bayview at this unparalleled estate where you can relax and reconnect with those you care about most.

Victorian Dromore Manor:
Inside, you’ll be greeted by amazing wall-to-wall windows in the living room and dining area. The exquisite white kitchen is well-appointed, spacious, and open. There is plenty of space to move around and countertops to work on. The large fridge will store all of your groceries. The dining room directly off the kitchen boasts an 8-person table to enjoy great food with family and friends plus four more at the large island: great for visiting, snacking, or laying out a large meal to share with loved ones. On warm evenings you may decide to dine outside on the east veranda where you may see deer and turkeys foraging in the adjacent fields. You can take in unparalleled views of Bernard Peak and Scenic Bay from your choice of three private decks.
Lilac Cottage:
At one time, part of this home served as the Post Office for Bayview. Later relocated to this site and converted into a home with additions, it is now a cozy one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage nestled amongst maple, chestnut, oak, lilac, and Douglass fir trees. It has a quaint kitchen with an adjacent dining room table with seating for four. The living room has a sleeper sofa, electric fireplace, and beautiful views of the estate grounds and the mountains across the bay. The bedroom features a king bed with floor to ceiling windows facing south toward Bayview, made private by cellular shades as well as the lilac, aspen, and apple trees below. At this cozy cottage guests will enjoy a quiet shady retreat, and perhaps best of all the large veranda with comfy furniture for taking in the view or sharing an outside meal.
These two homes share three tiers of large grassy lawns for children to play, or you could retire to the gazebo and enjoy a romantic evening with a glass of wine and the warm ambiance of the gas fire table. Go for a stroll and explore this amazing property where mature Douglas fir, chestnut, maple, aspen, hemlock, spruce, and mountain ash trees provide ample shade on sunny days. Through the spring and summer something is always blooming including crocus, daffodils, rhododendron, magnolia, lilac, golden chain, peonies, Siberian iris, easter lily, and periwinkle. Or take your family to explore the small orchard of plum, apple, apricot, fig, and cherry trees. Share an evening taking in a breathtaking sunset where pink mountains reflect off the waters of Scenic Bay. Private yet convenient – Dromore estate is just 8 miles from Athol, ID. A short 13-minute drive from Silverwood Theme Park and less than an hour drive from Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort. Other nearby amenities include Farragut State Park with miles of ATV and Snowmobile trails. Spring and fall fishing derbies on Lake Pend Oreille. Farragut State Park Hosts Tree to Tree Adventure Park and a World-famous Disc Golf Course.
Phone service in Bayview is limited, especially if guests do not have access to the Verizon network. It may be best to have directions and codes saved before arriving in Bayview.
Parking notes: There is parking for 4 vehicles in the driveway. Please Park 2 vehicles in front of the detached 2-car garage. The other 2 vehicles will need to be parked at the top of the driveway.
Guest entry instructions: This rental utilizes an E-lock, a digital lock that requires a unique code to enter. This code is reset after each guest's stay.
Security camera details: There are outdoor RING cameras only on the outside of the property.
Dromore Manor Main House
Guests have full access to the home except for a locked closet for our supplies. The Garage is not available at this time
Lilac Cottage
Guests have full access to the home. The single car garage is not available for Guest use.

This Estate has a gorgeous view of Lake Pend Oreille, which is Idaho's deepest and biggest lake! Here you can find plenty of parks, boat launches, and try your hand at boating, wildlife spotting, and fishing.
All of Bayview is within walking distance. Silverwood Theme Park is 15 minutes away. The base of Schweitzer Mountain is within an hour drive from this property.
For the summer outdoor enthusiasts, Farragut State Park offers miles of biking and hiking trails, disc golf, picnic areas, and even a lakefront beach area. Miles of ATV and snowmobile trails for winter fun!
This property is within walking distance to the little bayside town of Bayview. You can take a golf cart or ATV and hit any of the dining establishments in town. Centrally located you can walk or ride to town!
This is a beautiful 2-acre Estate with 2 fully furnished homes, perfect for a large group for a Family reunion or a vacation with a group of friends!

No Large parties or events allowed unless arrangements have been made in advance and are in writing.
NO SMOKING or VAPING ALLOWED
If you smoke or vape inside or the smoke gets in to the house there is a minimum charge of $750.00 for a restoration company to come to the property and assess the situation.
No unregistered guests are allowed to spend the night without being added to the air bnb platform in your reservation. This is for insurances purposes and needs to be followed by the person making the reservation. We know last minute people may show up, so all you need to do is shoot me a text and add them.
when you use the BBQ and or the fire pit, please make sure they are turned off when you are finished.
