THE CABIN
This hand built log cabin is 572 sq feet (plus a loft) and “off the grid.” It features 10 large solar panels for electricity and a gas burning fireplace for heat.
Enjoy off grid amenities with your "glamping" experience.The kitchen features a double burner propane cooktop, a propane powered mini fridge,a toaster, a tea kettle and a french presscoffee maker. Brew yourself a fresh cup of tea or locally roasted coffee and watch the sunrise from the loft!
Two queen size beds are located upstairs in the loft. Guests with limited mobility should keep this in mind before booking. The ladder stairs are very steep and different than what you are probably used to. The open-concept loft is flooded with natural light. Imagine waking up from a restful night’s sleep to a beautiful sunrise over the valley. Enjoy a cup of locally roasted coffee from the loft or take it outside and listen to the birds sing.
A comfortable pullout couch is downstairs in the living room.
You’ll feel relaxed and renewed during your stay at this eco-conscious Northwoods log cabin retreat. This is a special spot, but it’s an off-the-grid, glamping experience. We encourage guests to come with realistic expectations and be ready to enjoy the wilderness! It's a cabin in the woods - you may see critters (inside or out)!
We have stretching bars, pullup bars, yoga mats, a foam roller and a kettlebell so you can move your body and stay in shape while on vacation!
Ely Log Cabin is a blissful retreat tucked into the woods, just 15 minutes away from the heart of downtown Ely. Enjoy hiking, star gazing (no light pollution!), toasting marshmallows over the campfire, and unplugging in nature on 40 private acres.

THE PROPERTY
Guests have access to 40 private acres for hiking and exploring! Mountain bikes andcanoe available for an extra fee. Snowshoes available for no additional cost in winter.

PETS
Ely Log Cabin is dog friendly! The pet fee is $50/dog. Please communicate with us when booking about bringing a pet. Pet fee will be charged during booking. Max of 2.
We ask that pets don’t go on the furniture or beds to respect those with allergies and help reduce wear and tear.
Please bring their dog bed and kennel.
We provide a black towel to wipe their feet, poo bags, leash hangers, a water dish and a treat!
Your pet MUST be crated if left alone in the cabin.
You will also be charged for ANY pet damages including but not limited to: chewing items, scratching the doors, knocking over plants or other breakable items, etc.
Please only bring your dog if they are well behaved. We want to keep the cabin pet friendly for future guests.
STAIRS
The stairs to the loft are very steep and we encourage guests with small children or limited mobility to be cautious of this when booking. The stairs are a unique style... please see listing photos before booking to make sure you are comfortable with them.
CLEANING
The entire cleaning fee goes directly to the cleaner. Our cleaner takes her time to make sure the cabin is spotless upon your arrival and she makes a livable wage.
SECURITY CAMERA
We have a security camera on the outside of the cabin facing the driveway. This is for the safety of the cabin and our guests and helps us monitor propane deliveries, etc. We don't spy on you during your stay. We understand that you are coming to the woods to have privacy.
