Summary: Emerald Lake is so beautiful and the lodge itself is beautiful. The difficulty is everything and everyone needs to be shuttled; you need to park your car a few minutes from the property and call for a shuttle ( 15 to 30 minutes) and then wait for your room. Most are not ready until 4 pm. Then you need to arrange another shuttle to get luggage to your room (more waiting) as many rooms are up hill. When you leave you myst dobit all over again. They don't take shuttle reservations and you need to call and wait for up to 10 minutes for someonevto answer the food. It is just too much...not the relaxing romantic room and dream envisioned. The food was very good in the dining room and the bar quite well stocked. It is a fabulous lake but needs a more funtional efficient way to get people around. TOO much waiting .
