The central location means that your hotel facilities are never far from rent, so you do not need to rent a car. The Arroyo de la Meil, the local train station, the Tivoli World Fun Park, the La Paloma park and a beautiful sandy beach are within walking distance. The impressive Benalmádena marina is a short taxi ride or on foot. The nearest golf course is only 2 km away. At the hotel there is a 24-hour English-speaking reception, hairdresser and beauty salon, a poolside snack bar next to a large swimming pool that is protected by lifeguards during the high season, with access only for residents. Across the street from the complex is the popular Bonanza Square, with its numerous and varied restaurants, bars, cafes and entertainment venues. The Minerva complex is only 15 minutes by taxi from Malaga airport. Benalmadena Costa: Benalmadena is divided into two sections with Benalmadena Costa which is part of the greatest interest for the many tourists who visit this popular resort of the Costa del Sol every year. The complex is located 15 km southwest of the Malaga airport, between the coastal towns of Fuengirola and Torremolinos. Benalmadena Costa is a coastal tourist center that stretches along 8 km along the coast that climbs the mountains behind. The cable car from the coast to the top of the mountain is a rewarding trip, but it is not recommended for those who fear the heights! Benalmádena has more than 8 km of blue flag beaches, some of which are in small bays. Much work is being done to maintain the hygiene of the beaches of the Costa del Sol. Sun loungers and parasols are available to rent on the beaches, as well as water sports. Small bars and cafes line the seafront, which extends to the Benalmadea marina. Above Benalmadena Costa, on the mountainside, is Benalmadena Pueblo, an attractive traditional Spanish town. Entertainment in Benalmadena Costa: there is a lot of entertainment to entertain children, parents and grandparents alike.
If you want to get away from the pool in Minerva and the beautiful local beaches of the Tivoli World amusement park, near the Arroyo de la Miel, and the Wild West, flamenco shows and a cable car. Equally popular is Selwo Marina Delfinarium and Sealife Center, which has the largest collection of sharks in Europe. There are water sports facilities at the yacht club and many nearby golf courses. The fantastic marina of Benalmádena is well worth the walk or the short taxi ride from Minerva, during the day it is a paradise for all. During the night, Marina attracts the youngest who visit the many nightclubs, many of which are open all night. The local area around the Minerva Complex is more focused on families, although there are many different bars, cafes, restaurants and entertainment venues that do not have a music policy to play outside after midnight. Places to visit near Benalmadena Costa: Benalmadena's most popular excursions include Marbella, Fuengirola, especially on market day, and Mijas. From the Benalmádena marina, you can walk all the way along a flat promenade to Torremolinos, with numerous bars and restaurants for refreshments. A little further away are the caves of Nerja and the tour of the city of Malaga. Granada offers full day excursions to visit the Alhambra, Seville, Cordoba, Ronda, Gibraltar and also Tangier in Morocco. If you do not want a scheduled tour or coach trip, you can always find a taxi for local excursions and there are regular coastal bus services that run along the coast. The local train station is just ten minutes walk from Minerva in Arroyo de la Meil, from where you can travel along the coast from Malaga to Gibralta, the trains have an excellent quality-price ratio. Trains depart from the city of Malaga every 30 minutes, well worth seeing the Moorish ruins of Gibralfaro and the new Picasso Museum.

Summary: Lovely clean apartment, although a little dated; however owners appear to be in the process of updating the accommodation with a new modern kitchen and bathroom (but shower area is a bit on the small size). Overall nice apartment. Pool area is great and complex is in a very central location.
