Located adjacent to protected national forest land, our home has 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and sleeps up to 8. Upstairs are 2 master bedrooms with queen beds, sinks and skylights to watch the stars and a full bathroom with walk in shower. Downstairs there is 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a twin bunk over the top for small children, and 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds. There is a bathroom with tub. Upstairs there is also a TV lounge. The living room and dining area face the forest with views through large picture windows. There is a two story stone fireplace in the living room - perfect for curling up on a winter evening. The huge deck is perfect for lounging, eating, entertaining or watching the wildlife go by.

Summary: Arriving at the house was a bit uncomfortable in the beginning because the cleaning lady was still there a bit after 4pm (check in time), had not finished laundry so we had to move stuff from the dryer to one of the rooms in order for her to leave, and then she said she couldn’t find her vape pen so she asked if we found it to leave it out for her. She made sure to mention it wasn’t marijuana even though we did not ask. Although she did apologize for being there it’s not really what you expect to be dealing with as a first encounter on your vacation. A heads up would have been nice and the whole “vape pen” thing was awkward. We did end up finding it upstairs and left it out on our last day. Overall, my now fiancé and I (proposed to on this trip!!) enjoyed the house. It’s gorgeous and not too close to other houses plus the speakers in the living room are so nice to have. Overlooking the uncomfortable beginning I highly recommend this place to anyone because last time I stayed here that did not happen.
