Beautiful, restored 1814 Federal farmhouse with large modern additions surrounded by 19 acres of nature in the popular town of New Paltz. Great views of the Shawangunk Ridge. An outdoor pool will be a cool respite for hot summer Hudson Valley days. Inside, you'll find a unique combination of 19th Century tradition and modern design with 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. There is also a firepit! Lots of kid-friendly touches.
*If you would like to bring a dog, you *must* add it to the reservation under the # of guests section upon booking. One dog is allowed per reservation unless otherwise approved by the host (please send us a message). Sorry, we do not allow cats.
*Pool is available only from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend. Note: The pool is not heated, but it sits in direct sunlight!
You can rest easy knowing your stay is covered with $1,500 in “All-Risk” Damage Protection. Although rare, accidental damage from guests does happen. Traditionally, this was managed via a security deposit or vacation rental damage insurance purchased by the guest. Both are cumbersome and often have big limitations in protection.
With “all-risk” protection, all accidental damage from a guest is covered unless specifically excluded such as, but not limited to, normal wear and tear, infestation, or prior damage.

- Routinely scheduled maintenance by Home Sweet Hudson team members or lawn care/snow plowing may happen during your stay. This also includes garbage pick up, linen pickup, hot tub service, and pool cleanings.
- Parking shall be allowed solely in the designated parking spaces
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises.
- Weapons are strictly prohibited
- Please adhere to safety instructions for fireplaces, firepits, etc.
- Due to the risk of fire, please do not charge your electric car on the property.
- We do not allow parties or extra guests outside the maximum occupancy allowed on the reservation. We also ask you to follow the good neighbor guidelines and abide by quiet hours after 9 pm.
- Please do not trespass on property boundaries
-Ticks/bugs are a regular part of Upstate NY. ORKIN comes and sprays for ticks and mosquitoes a few times per summer. The spray is non-toxic in accordance with Ulster County regulations.
- Tents, yurts, and other camping equipment are prohibited
- This house does NOT currently have a backup generator.
Pet Rules
- Pick up after your pet’s business outside.
- Please be sure to check them for ticks after spending any time outdoors (and be sure to check yourself as well).
- Please wipe their paws when entering the house.
- Please do not allow your dog on the furniture, unless you bring a throw blanket from home that they can lay on. Dogs are not allowed on beds.
- If your dog is not fully trained, please bring their crate if they need to be left unattended.
- Owners assume responsibility for their pets when they are outside on the property.
Please note that the home is located in the country which is also home to wildlife.
