Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Beautiful location in the lush green rolling hills of the gubbio area. Wonderful pool and perfectly maintained gardens, was clean and very very affordable. Nice stone buildings with loads of character on the outside. Great heating that warmed the whole place in minutes.

Negative: Ginestre 1 was very good value, very inexpensive, this showed a little as it was quite minimally decorated/ austere and very limited amenities. No wine glasses, kettle, extra loo rolls, no oils, salt, pepper, no quilt cover on the doona. It was basic. We chose Ginestre 1 as we thought it had a balcony or out door sitting area. It doesn’t, only the common grassed area down stairs, which is lovely but not your own. In fact none of the Ginestre have private balconies or outside seating. You see a breezeway in the pics. Hope this helps others as we specially wanted a balcony. The bed is super firm, linens a little tired. For me it lacked character.
