Positive: The property is located in Ocean Pines, a quaint charming neighborhood outside of ocean city. We prefer to be out of the chaos-so Ocean Pines is perfect. The house is right on the water with a very enjoyable view. Loved having a fully operational kitchen-allowed us to have breakfast/lunch at the property. House was well stocked with household items, making the stay more comfortable.
Negative: Our number 1 complaint was the air conditioning was not functional upon check-in. We worked with the rental property manager (daily text/phone calls) but in the end they could not fix it. It was determined the whole system would need to be replaced. We understand things happen but it looked like in previous reviews it was notes that the house was very warm, especially upstairs. We believe it should have been fixed before we arrived. We did receive a small refund for loss of amenity-but it was very hot at night and negatively impacted the enjoyment of our overall stay. An additional piece of dissatisfaction-When we entered the property to check-in there were a lot of flies. The home had fly swatters so thinking this might be an ongoing issue. Even though we killed most of them, seemed to be a lingering issue throughout the week.
Summary: Without air conditioning, we would not recommend this property.
