Summary: *I have used VRBO countless times and have had wonderful experiences- never left a negative review before* There were clearly things living in the walls/attic. The scratching, thumping, running kept me and my husband up at night and we heard it early in the morning. We heard it every night and morning, I have video/audio that provides evidence. When I spoke with the property manager I was told this was new and that it would be looked into. Nothing was addressed while we stayed- we avoided being in the house as much as possible to avoid scaring our son (who thankfully sleeps like a rock and heard nothing). Fast forward to a week after our stay and nothing was communicated with us about the rodent issue. After inquiring about an update, I was then provided with what looked to be a very poorly executed fake write up from an exterminator (no exterminator name/number provided, etc.) the write up said nothing was found- which absolutely cannot be true. Long story short- the house is old and there are things living in the walls and attic. I don’t believe the property owner addressed the issue. The house was not ready to be rented out- painters tape on the walls, garbage not taken out, people’s shoes/clothes left under the beds, and the rodents. Avoid this property.
