Positive: Love the location , the house could be stunning and alot of elements like the bedroom and dining room we're lovely. You can't beat where it is, views from the bedrooms are incredible and we felt lucky to stay there in alot of ways . It represented great value for the time spent there honestly this could be such a cracking holiday rental
Negative: There are serious maintenance issues letting it down. The property booklet does not tell you where to take the rubbish out to (just make sure rubbish is not left in the proeprty) which the previous occupant clearly took to mean leave it at the backdoor. When we arrived all the bags were split open with rubbish including nappies and food waste covered the yard making it smelly and impassable to take our rubbish out to the bins which are in the upper yard and a health hazard. The bathrooms have cracked tiles which have sharp edges which are where you get out of the bath and where you put your feet my the loo . The glass panel by the bath is loose and held on by a pebble by the looks of it. The sofa was heavily stained and whilst I totally appreciate its a dog friendly rental there were new covers under the sofa they could just be changed up as we really didn't want to use the sofa in the condition it's in. The boiler had been switched off at a plug in the kitchen(boiler is in the bathroom) so no hot water on arrival we were scared to switch it on as its also leaking (there was a pot under it to catch the leaking water) but water and electrics we just weren't happy so it took about 4 hours to get a response from maintenance who did come out to us and were incredibly helpful but it meant we lost a day of holiday waiting in for the maintenance team to clear the yard the flowing day. Hats off to them to be fair they worked so hard to make things better and were super understanding I think improve the insteuction book so people know about the bins and the boiler and also sort those issues out like the hazardous tiles and leaking boiler and kitchen radiator.
Summary: Initially frustrating issues but a rough diamond of a house. Location is spot on
