LOCATION
Located amidst the San Bernardo Islands, off the coast of Isla Tintipan, and totally surrounded by a mangrove ecosystem and Colombian amazing Caribbean Sea, our eco-hostel is part of a beautiful natural conservation park where you can closely see the spectacular biodiversity of Colombia's sea life, practice water sports and enjoy the reef.
OUR PLACE
Our eco-hostel is a rustic-tropical three-story hut, with private rooms, shared rooms and hammocks on the top floor, to enjoy the best view of the island.
There are plenty of cool communal areas to hang out, eat all together and soak up sun and spectacular surroundings, always with good tunes in the background and good vibes all round.
We are in a privileged location, in the Tintipan archipelago, very close to Santa Cruz del Islote, the most densely populated island in the world, like this one, there are many other interesting spots you can reach from our facilities and many activities and tours you can enjoy. SERVICES
In IslaRoots you will find all the services: restaurant, rooms and activities.
At this moment the discounts on lodging are active until March 31st, which is the deposit for the plan that you tailor to your needs.
You pay only the accommodation (deposit) and on the island we have some forms where you select your consumptions.
You decide what services you want to include in the package during your stay and you pay at check out.
We have restaurant and bar service, with a 2x1 happy cocktail promo all day long.
ThereÂ's a dock, wooden deck to sunbathe and watch amazing sunsets, a hammocks area to nap, read and relax and a beach volleyball court.
- On the island the fresh water is like a treasure, that's why the showers are available only from 6pm to 10pm.
- Our energy depends directly on the sun and there is only electricity in the rooms when itÂÂ's down (from 6pm to 6am).
- We like to disconnect to connect with others and nature, we offer paid access WIFI if you want to make this paradise your new office.
TRANSPORT
Our island is approximately two hours from Cartagena de Indias and about 40 minutes from Tolu. To get here, you need to book your transport in advance, we don't have a boat but if contact us via wa.me prior to your trip we can give you the boat companies number so you can coordinate transportation, leaving from Cartagena or Tolu at 8:30 a.m.
Keep in mind that this is the only time available to get to the island from Cartagena, so check your flight and itineraries so you do not lose time and get to enjoy our little Paradise ASAP.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Full refund for cancellations, no show or reductions in numbers made within 48 hours from the time of booking, if there are at least 14 days left until the arrival date.
50% refund for cancellations, no show or reductions in numbers made at least seven days before arrival.
Cancellations, no shows or reductions in numbers made within seven days prior to arrival are not refundable.

The reception service is open from 09.00 to 17:00
No curfew.
The entry of minors into the facilities is not allowed.
To fully enjoy our paradise ECO-HOSTEL, keep these points in mind:
- On the island the fresh water is like a treasure, that's why the showers are available only from 6pm to 10pm.
- Our energy depends directly on the sun and there is only electricity in the rooms when it is down (from 6pm to 6am).
- We like to disconnect to connect with others and nature, that's why we do not have wifi service. If you need urgent communication, our administrators will be happy to help you.
- Bring enough money with you, because we do not have ATMs in the islands. Credit card and PayPal payments at the island have a 5% tax.
- We are in the tropics and the mosquitoes live here, we recommend you bring a good repellent so they do not 'bitter' your day.
- We love the party and we want you to have a good time, so there is usually music and some party.
- We have national beers and a whole day promo in cocktails, so please donÂ't bring any alcoholic beverages (the entry of alcoholic beverages is not allowed you must to paid and extra charge per bottle).
- If you truly hooked with our cocktails promo be aware, we reserve the right to sell tours / activities to people in a drunken state or in a harmful attitude. It is forbidden to enter the water at night and/or intoxicated state.
- At our island we reserved the right of admission.
- There are security boxes for your precious belongings, so we are not responsible for loss of objects that are left unattended.
- We are an eco-hostel on an island, remember that our accommodations are basic but confortable, and all the bathrooms are shared ones.
- Our island is part of the Corales del Rosario and San Bernardo National Park, therefore, no action that threatens the natural integrity of the environment is allowed. The hostel refrains from responding for damages caused by marine fauna in cases of irresponsibility of the guests.
- We are committed to safeguard the flora, fauna and cultural heritage of the country and will denounce all cases of trafficking.
- Isla Roots Hostel rejects all cases of sexual explotation, pornography, sexual tourism and all forms of sexual abuse involving minors
- Guest are responsible to make previous international health insurance.
