Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The location near Indian Lake was convenient for our purposes, but the local beach park was run down and no access to water allowed (am guessing heavy local residential development probably affects lake water quality).
Negative: I don't usually write a property review, but having stayed at many bookings, airbnb's and vrbo's , have to note the following discrepancies: This house was referred to as a elegant villa with a terrace, balcony and view of the lake in the description. It is more rustic cabin than villa and while you can see a small sliver of the lake it is from an enclosed front porch at the front (the "smoking room" we didn't use). No terrace or balcony was apparent so would suggest updating the description to better meet expectations. Finally was able to open a window on last day (they were painted shut /stuck) so difficult to get fresh air in to reduce the smell of Febreeze used to cover up the slightly musty smell in this older property . Additionally, the master bedroom door on first floor was off it's hinge and unable to close, the "standing" room AC in the living room leaked all over the floor and the broken pavement outside (terrace?) around the fire pit could be a problem for those who don't balance well and lastly there are was appear to be damaged 9"x9" asbestos tiles in the upstairs bedroom. We are low maintenance people and we did so appreciate getting a call very quickly after reporting the leak and the broken door to the owner. Overall, we thought this place was okay but definitely could use some TLC. One last note - large dirt mounds 5 feet high were in front of the property at the time of our stay - so no parking there for the time being.
