JamRock Shores is a beautiful and quaint lakefront property that backs onto the Georgian Bay. The property is surrounded by green forestry and a spectacular view.
The breathtaking views of the endless blue water is a great place to relax all year round. For our more active renters, we are surrounded by endless trails. Our home sleeps 6 people comfortably.
Open concept 3-storey cottage with high ceilings. The main level of the cottage is the hub, with a modern kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with all you will need to prepare the meals with an abundance of plates, mugs, pots and pans. There is also a dishwasher to make clean-up a breeze. The main area has an abundance of windows which provides tons of lighting and breathtaking views. The dining and living room areas are divided by a traditional stone-built, wood-burning fireplace. The living room also leads out to a large patio with outdoor dining.
The main floor also houses a laundry room, half bath, and a large bedroom with a double and single bed. On the top floor, the master bedroom holds a queen-sized and a single bed. There is also a small bedroom with a single bed. Lastly, on the top floor, there is a complete 4-piece washroom with a tub.
The lower level isn't just utility though - on this walkout level you will find another living area complete with large screen TV and those great views. Card Games, board games on site as well for your enjoyment. We will supply the essentials: toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher soap, body soap and shampoo, towels, and bedding.
You DO have to exercise some caution on the grounds as the cottage is located on the rocks. As such, this property may not be suitable for small children unless they are supervised.
I highly recommend bringing water shoes as the bottom of the shore is mix with sand and rocks.

Summary: This cottage had a great view in a nice location, but that is where the niceties ended. The cleanness was to be desired. The washrooms were the worst of all the rooms, you did not feel you could step on the floor without some sort of foot protection. The tub on the upstairs floor was something that could not be used, only a quick shower felt comfortable. All the washrooms were very dirty. The mattress’s were all very old and uncomfortable I would recommend bringing something to help with comfort for sleeping. The sheets were also a strange material that I have seen at the dollar store. The towels were stained and old (we had to go into town to purchase non stained towels) we also had to purchase additional blankets, there were not enough blankets for all the beds and rooms. One of the blankets that was available was falling apart, and no one in our group felt comfortable using it. Also, if you have a boat there is not a dock, there is a dock pictured in the listing but the day before we arrived we received an email that the dock was out for repairs, however the base of the dock is laying at the side of the house with weeds growing out of it. If you plan on bringing a boat you will not have a place to dock it at the cottage. There is a place in town however. For Aprox 700.00 dollars a night our expectations were a lot higher. It was unfortunate and somewhat put a damper on our visit.
