For Pool/Spa heat and jets, please send us a message or text when you want the Spa heated or jets turned on/off. Hosts handle it avoid any confusion of the app and to ensure it doesn't stay on longer than needed.
The neighborhood is very quiet and family oriented. It's close to the Marine Corps base, so there are lots of active duty, veterans, and retirees in the area. All are extremely friendly and always willing to help out. There is a pond within walking distance that you can walk around for exercise. There are some restaurants and shopping within a few minutes in case you need any last minute items or a quick bite. Overall, the neighborhood is quiet and friendly and almost everything you need is within a 10 minute drive including the beach!
You will have access through the keyless wifi locks. Your code will be sent to you via text and email so that you always have it readily available. If you ever have any issues, feel free to contact us and we'll be glad to assist! We do also have a hard key for emergencies.
The space is wonderfully laid out! As you enter you have a pool table in the entryway with our Oceanside Mural! On the right is a guest book we'd love for you and your family/guests to sign! The hall to the right leads to 3 bedrooms. Two of the rooms have queen beds and one of them has bunk beds with twin beds. Each room has their own 43" Roku Smart TV. There is also a shared bathroom in this hallway. At the beginning of the hallway is the Nest Thermostat. Check the digital guidebook for a video on how to turn it on and adjust the temperature or mode.
As you pass by the entryway and pool table, you're met by a very open living room and kitchen. The dining area is to the left as you enter this space. The garage door is to the left in the dining area as well. In the garage you have a washer and dryer with soap provided for you. You can also utilize the garage to keep your car in.
The kitchen is fully stocked with seasonings, pots/pans, cutlery, utensils, cups, plates for adults and children, and BBQ essentials. Get ready to have some family meals! You also have a dishwasher, fridge, stove/oven, and microwave. There are 4 stools that you can use to eat or drink at the counter and converse with your friends/family. The dining table has room for up to 6 guests as well.
In the living room, you have the coffee/tea station against the wall. You'll have a Keurig machine ready to make your morning coffee. We supply coffee, hot chocolate, and tea for our guests. The fire extinguisher is also located against the wall next to the coffee station.
In the living room you have a couch, love seat and some additional seating. There is a 55" Roku Smart TV with a connected sound bar. We have comfy throw blankets you can wrap yourself in and enjoy a night in! Under the TV is a wood burning fireplace. There is plenty of firewood on the side of the house you can use.
To the right of the living room is the master bedroom. There is a king bed and attached bathroom. The master also has it's own 43" Roku Smart TV. It looks out to the backyard, pool and spa area.
Back in the living room is a sliding door. This door leads to the backyard patio area where you have a covered seating area where you can eat or relax. As you continue into the backyard, you have the pool that we keep heated to 78 degrees for our guests. A firepit where you can enjoy bon fires at night with your family. We also have lounge chairs around the pool. The spa is also controlled by us so you don't need to worry about a thing! We heat the spa at your request to 103 degrees ( or cooler if you like). On the opposite side of the pool is a covered palapa with seating and a small table. Great for a noon-time lunch outside! The backyard has artificial turf. It stays green and comfortable all year round!
Also in the backyard is our charcoal grill. Make some amazing BBQ Ribs or chicken and have an absolutely fantastic time with your family enjoying the SoCal sun! FYI we do not provide charcoal.
Along the side of the house are the trash cans. They can be accessed through the garage door, sliding door or side gate in the front of the house. If you are staying with us on Sunday night, please place the cans out on Sunday for the Monday morning pick up.

Uber, Lyft, Yellow cab all available from the house. There is also a nearby bus route which is a short walk from the house on the main street (Vandegrift). The 303 bus route will take you to Oceanside.
