1 Bedroom Cottage in Padstow, Saint Merryn

St Merryn 2.1 miles. This lovely bungalow is situated in St Merryn Park, just outside the village of St Merryn, Cornwall, and only four miles from the famous fishing port of Padstow. Ideal for families and friends to enjoy a lovely break on the spectacular north Cornish coast. As you enter this spacious cottage there is a well-equipped kitchen, with a welcoming home from home feeling greeting you, following through into the open plan, comfortable sitting room with dining areas. There are three bedrooms, a double benefitting from en-suite facilities and a large walk-in wardrobe, with two singles next to the family bathroom. Outside, there is a large patio which runs down the side and back of the cottage, meaning whatever time of day, you should be able to find a spot in the sun to relax with a cup of coffee whilst planning your next days activities. At nearby St Merryn, the Cornish Arms owned by Rick Stein, is an ideal spot for a meal in the evening after a day on the beach, with a large beer garden for summer and log fires for autumn and winter. Nearby Padstow will be top of most peoples places to visit and you will see why. An absolutely charming working fishing port surrounded by glorious sandy beaches with cafes, pubs and restaurants ranging from fish and chips to Michelin stars. A must do is to get the ferry over to the village of Rock and wander down the white sandy beaches, admiring the spectacular scenery, before returning back to Rock for lunch at one of the eateries. For the sports minded, there is a popular watersports centre with sailing, windsurfing, water skiing and canoeing all on offer. With Padstow also being the starting or finishing point of the Camel Trail, cyclists are well catered for, with a beautiful, near level, 18-mile trail passing through some of the most spectacular countryside you will ever see. Walkers will need no introduction to the world famous South West Coast Path, offering amazing views and great walking in whatever direction you head. With so much to do and see, this is a wonderful year-round holiday destination.
St Merryn is a typical Cornish village, located within two miles of the coast and close to the picturesque harbour and fishing port of Padstow. Surrounded by some of Cornwall's best surfing beaches and golf courses, St Merryn is a holidaymaker's dream, offering two pubs, three restaurants, a chinese takeaway, a chip shop, mini markets and a Post Office, yet St Merryn remains within easy reach of the area's visitor attractions.
