Nestled on a 2.5 acres lot the cabin is surrounded by an abundance of trees overlooking a breathtaking mountain and meadow view. You will be captivated by the sounds of endless songbirds and the sights of a multitude hummingbirds fluttering about. In the evening you will be hypnotized by the luminous and the amber dance of lights of sunsets poking through the trees and cascading over the visible mountain ranges. In the morning the indescribable sunrises will take your breath away.
Hugged by trees, a customed made enclosed gazebo housing 5-seat hot tub gives you an instant feeling of being in a tree house. If you step off the porch you can grab a seat in one of the Adirondack chairs to enjoy the quiet evenings chatting with friends and family enjoying your favorite beverage surrounded by the beautiful sights and sounds of nature all around. This cabin is matchlessly designed and features an eclectic mix of hand-painted vintage, antique and locally hand-crafted furnishings showcasing an array of timeless beautiful rugs with different patterns and styles. This cabin is inviting and invokes feelings of comfort and calmness. The décor is reminiscent of having been decorated with lots of love and care. Each item of furniture and décor was selected because of their unique story. In addition to a fully equipped kitchen with brand-new stainless-steel appliances, this lovely cabin boasts an electric fireplace in one of the bedrooms, as well as a direct vent gas stove heater in the main room that adds not only heat but charm to the ambiance of your potential home away from home. This lovely cabin also has added AC and heating for warmer and colder days.
With so many amenities you may find you don't want to leave, but in case you're looking to venture out you'll find there is plenty to see and do with only a few minutes' drive to get there. Our cabin is only a five-minute drive from The Blue Ridge Parkway and the nearby town of Sparta is nestled between several Christmas tree farms and boasts many amenities for being the quaint town it is. The locals in town are always helpful and friendly making visitors feel welcome. There are couple of cozy coffee shops that makes freshly baked goods and many other restaurants serving up delicious cuisines. Looking to do some shopping? There are several gift shops, antique stores, a pottery shop, and a candle shop that makes candles on-site, and a local grocery store that sells all local honey, meat, seafood, and eggs.
If you're curious about Appalachian history then plan to visit Brinegar Cabin and the Caudill Family Homestead, where preserved pictures of early American mountain life come alive. Hoping to get out and enjoy a hike? We're not far from Stone Mountain Park, Grayson Highlands, and Doughton Park. If fishing is your idea of relaxation then you'll love that we're close to New River, which is the oldest river on the North American Continent and is a slow-moving river that is fantastic for fishing, fly fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Just remember, if you're planning to fish, make sure you have your fishing license. If you're into golfing, you'll find three golf courses that aren't very far away. There are many local events going on throughout the year, like the Mountain Heritage Festival which takes place the 3rd Saturday in September, and the Blue Ridge Mountain Fair which is a 2-day event each year and is held on the 4th Friday and Saturday of July, as well as The Alleghany County Farmers Market which takes place each Saturday Summer to Fall.
