Horseleg Hill Lodge was just named "Best Luxury Lodging in New Hampshire" by the Editors of Yankee Magazine for their 2017 issue of "Best of New England". Completed in 2014 and located in the Lakes Region of the White Mountain National Forest, Horseleg Hill Lodge is a one-of-a-kind property that skillfully mixes old charm with a modern flair. Its nearly 4,000 square foot floor plan accommodates up to 10 guests and includes lakeside resort amenities at Purity Spring Resort (named best family vacation destination by the Boston Globe).
This newly constructed private retreat features a well balanced mix of new and old finishes throughout the home with some post & beams dating back to the late 1800's. It's located on six wooded acres nestled in the Lakes Region of the White Mountain National Forest and neighbors the 135 acre Hoyt Wildlife Sanctuary and Purity Spring Resort, home of King Pine Ski Area. The Resort owns over 1,000 acres of private, unspoiled land that surrounds the pristine waters of Purity Lake. Horseleg Hill Lodge guests have special access to the resort's property and amenities.
This incredible, one-of-a-kind 4 Bedroom home comfortably sleeps 8-10 guests and features hardwood floors with high quality furnishings, 2.5 baths, a large dramatic Great Room with 20 foot vaulted ceilings and a wood burning stone fireplace, an open loft, a large entertainer's kitchen with granite counter tops, dining area, mudroom, laundry room, playroom with wet bar & premium air hockey table, a nine seat home theater with 150 inch projection screen and surround sound, and a two car garage. Original artwork by famed Rock n Roll photographer, Henry Diltz grace the walls.
Just a quick stroll to the lake and private resort beaches, the property also features a beautiful grass backyard and patios for outdoor grilling and campfires in the summer months. Downhill skiing, snowboarding & tubing are located just up the road at King Pine Ski Area. Traditions Pub & Restaurant and The Trails End Tavern are two on-site dining options.
During winter months (weather permitting) guests can take advantage of the complimentary ski-in/ski-out occasionally groomed nordic trails right from the front door and King Pine Ski Area and its tubing park is just seconds down the road.
During summer months, private lake access and resort amenities at Purity Spring Resort are included in your stay and are just a short walk along picturesque wooded trails from Horseleg Hill Lodge. This includes swimming and boating on Purity Lake, hiking, tennis, and access to the Resort's indoor pool & fitness center. Private Waterskiing is available for an additional fee.
