Only 3 blocks to Lake Michigan and beach! Enjoy this 3bedroom/1bath guest suite on upper level with large 400sqft screened in porch. Whimsical and Magical in a modest mid century modern home: Faerie themed property. We sit atop a sand dunr, for the true dune region home. You’ll Enjoy treetop views and nature views from every window!
Don’t be surprised if our woodland yard has local trees, tree frogs, preying mantis, wood sticks or mosquitos (we have bug spray for the later for your use). You’ll see fallen tree leaves or seeds, wildlife and faeries all around :) It’s authentic living within and atop a sand dune ecosystem.
House has Radiant heat, & bedroom space heaters, comfy beds and fully stocked kitchen. Window air conditioning units in each room for summer season.
You likely will see our neighborhood possum, squirrels, and deer family. Drive slowly and watch for them. We also have an indoor outdoor kitty cat that lives in lower level unit. Her name is Ava so don’t be surprised if you see her or if she is in her “she-shed” on side of the property ;)
Small electric grill located on back porch and with notice Weber grill in back yard available. We leave partially filled gas propane tank there but request all guests tell us when it’s being used. It is possible you’ll need to replace the tank if staying for longer than 3 days, or as needed, if you are big into grilling or barbecues.
Limited parking for (2 cars) but no limit on the fun to be had with local ecosystem of sand dunes, beaches, lake, hiking, onsite nature crafting and faerie garden themes.

Community: Miller Beach community is an eclectic beach town with artsy hippie vibe surrounded by conservation dunes and this property is 2 min drive to west beach national park for great hiking,. West Beach National park also has beautiful beach with summer concession & covered picnic and grilling cabanas. Other great hiking: Miller Woods (rolling hills of Lupines in spring), Tolleston Dunes (with Oak Savannah), close to Beverly Shores & Michigan City only 20 min drive for marina, lighthouse and lots of antique, boutique shopping & wineries. Valpo and Hammond Indiana are also only 20 min drive away.
