Summary: The Miss Ida house is so unique and lovely. A recent build with old craftsman charm and quality. The house is furnished with antiques, collectibles, and heirloom furniture - not your typical rental house! While the house is enjoyably extra, the management, Island Getaways is a bare minimum type manager. You have to request bed sheets (and return them to the office when you check out), don't get any towels (only beach towels were mentioned as a bring your own in the listing), single ply toilet paper (yes it's on septic, but still), a threat of a $100 fine if you do not use the bedding that you requested, have to take out all your trash, no personal touches, and checking is at 4pm and checkout at 10am - minimal. A few notes: there is a shower on the back deck - the head is fixed and will spray out onto the deck if you are not careful. The listing includes "kayak/canoe" as an amenity, but there is not one and Island Getaways was unable to find that in the listing to remove it. Outdoor space is limited to the driveway/parking area. Again, the house is awesome - the whole experience could be better with a better/more involved management company.
