Our 1949 rambler in a family-friendly neighborhood of Richfield, MN, just a mile south of Minneapolis, has been updated for a more modern style and conveniences. As we ourselves have traveled with a baby and now a young child, we understand what one looks for in a private rental. Literally a clean and comfortable "home away from home". This house has been our family home of the past 3 years, and we are now ready to share it with other travelers.

What we love about our home:
- Fully renovated kitchen
- Upstairs/downstairs living offers separate living spaces. Both offer king size beds, private baths, and family rooms with large smart TV's for lounging. Ideal for roommates.
- 3 season porch with vaulted ceilings is a peaceful sanctuary with private backyard views and wall-to-wall windows and doors. It serves as a 3rd living space from spring to fall.
- Private fenced-in backyard is a retreat featuring a deck, fire pit, and comfy patio furniture
- Convenient location! Family friendly neighborhood close to:
* Richfield/Bloomington/South Minneapolis city shopping and conveniences
* Easy access to major freeways I-494 and I-35W and MN-77 and MN-62
* 3 mi/8 minutes to Mall of America and IKEA
* 6 mi/10 minutes to Minneapolis/St Paul International Airport
* .7 mi to Wood Lake Nature Center for running/walking, bird watching, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing around the lake
* 7 mi to Minnehaha Falls
* 9 mi to downtown Minneapolis. Easy drive into the city for a Twins game, theater, Mill City, and the riverfront. Stone Arch Bridge is one of our favorites.
* 12 mi / 17 minutes to the Minnesota Zoo
About the area:
Richfield is a small town just south of Minneapolis. It's slogan is "the Urban Hometown", and it fits that description. It's a small town feel but in an urban setting being just a mile from Minneapolis and shopping and restaurants within a few miles, some within walking distance. The block is very family friendly where homes alternate between families with young children and retirees. Considering it's the home to wonderful and friendly people, please be respectful of their space. Quiet hours are between 8pm and 8am. The high school is a block away, so expect higher street traffic around 8:30am and 3:30pm weekdays.

Easy access to major freeways I-494 and I-35W and MN-77 and MN-62
There are 2 main bus lines that run on Lyndale Ave and Nicollet Ave, both in walking distance.

I am a stay-at-home mom who has always wanted to host a private property and give guests that "home away from home" experience.
