Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Breakfast was excellent. The food, location and service were all up to my expectations. The dinner selections on the menu was a bit light, although the food was very good. Although I know it is customary in parts of Italy, I don't see the necessity to charge a cover for dinner especially for hotel guests. I understand if you're sitting at a table during the dinner hours and not ordering food. I brought it up to the manager, and he graciously removed the charge from our bill.

Negative: Check-in was a bit rough. We traveled by private transportation from Switzerland. The driver was not familiar with Bellagio and thought he was unable to drive to the entrance. When I got to the hotel lobby, someone should have immediately gone with a trolley to get our bags and not have the driver walk them to the hotel. In addition, we were told the roof top bar was not open yet but would be opening in a couple of days. I should have been informed of that prior to my arrival.

Summary: The rooms and bathrooms were exceptional - being brand new was a plus. My rating is a 9 not 8.
