The house sits on a family farm that spans over 300 acres. There are three houses on the property, all of which are spaced out enough to provide maximum privacy for guests. The bungalow is a unique house with two living spaces connected by an enclosed front porch that runs the length of the home.
The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies, dishes, and glasses. There are two large refrigerators for guests to use, and one of the refrigerators has an ice maker and filtered water dispenser. There is a wood burning stove tucked into a corner that will have plenty of wood ready to be used.
Both bathrooms are fully stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and bath/shower gel. The bathroom off the kitchen has a shower stall, and the bathroom off the living room has a large soaking tub.
The master bedroom is a loft-style bedroom above the kitchen area. There are stairs that lead to the bedroom from the kitchen.
There are TVs in the loft bedroom and main living room. Both have Roku/FireTV devices to be used with guests’ personal streaming logins.
The enclosed front porch has lots of great seating areas and also has a twin daybed with trundle. The main living room has a queen size Murphy bed. Both of these areas can be made more private by closing the sets of double doors that lead to other rooms in the house. The living room also has a bookcase dedicated to lots of fun games to play during your stay. There is an electric fireplace to use for ambiance and/or extra heat on cooler nights.
There is outdoor seating on a lovely backyard patio for grilling, visiting, and star-gazing. There are two grills - charcoal and gas. A large fire pit in the side yard is a great place for roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories. We will have lawn chairs and wood ready for your stay.
The woods around the house are full of wildlife, including deer, raccoons, armadillos, and occasional coyotes (that keep their distance). You will definitely get to watch deer munching on the persimmons and other natural food in the yard! They aren’t afraid to pose for a picture or two!
****We are located in a dry county, so you will need to bring any adult beverages with you or stop on your way into Pope County.
