Summary: This older renovated cottage had some definite pluses. I really wanted to give this place a good review because it is evident a lot of work went into renovating this older home. Efforts were made to make this place welcoming, like its simple decorating style. It is conveniently located in town. Overall, the place appeared clean, but housekeeping definitely missed some spots. The bathtub was the worst, with gross stains around the drain and bathmat. The kitchen was mostly ok, was adequately stocked with equipment, but the stove has old baked on rings around the burners and the warming drawer is coming off the tracks. My husband felt the stove should be replaced. The tv remote needed batteries. Two main issues were simply unacceptable. No hot water to the shower (the rest of the house faucets were fine, so seemed to be just a shower issue). The shower water barely registered luke warm. We did not enjoy this! The other issue was the heating was inadequate and barely registered 68. Heating system seemed to correlate with the outside temps. It was pretty cold the first night, but the next couple days was warmer and the heating system seemed to keep up better. Communication with management was very good and they were very responsive. It was Christmas however, so no one came out, but we were assured they would take care of the issues. With a little attention, this could be a very nice place to stay.
